Wynberg Recycling Program
As of November 2025, The City of Cape Town has launched its Recycling Program in Wynberg, Cape Town. Residents will receive clear bags weekly (after refuse collection) for the use of placing their recycling into for collection. Recycling is collected on the same day as normal refuse collection (after the normal refuse truck has collected). Please read the below flyer to understand what can and cant be recycled and how best to do so.

The History of Wynberg
In the 1650s, Jan van Riebeeck's farm Boscheuvel, where he planted the Cape's first vineyards and was the first to produce wine in the Cape, was located in the greater Wynberg area close to the slopes of Table Mountain.
